ASHE Council on International Higher Education Election Results

ASHE is pleased to announce the the newly elected Executive Committee Members-At-Large:

Dot Finnegan is Associate Professor in the Higher Education Program at The College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, VA. She has a continuing interest in Comparative Higher Education since attending the first ASHE pre- session in 1993 and served as program chair in 1999 and the Chair of CIHE in 2000. Her earlier research detailed the history of and career paths of faculty at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. She teaches a seminar on comparative higher education every other spring.

Kevin Kinser is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Administration and Policy Studies. He studies non-traditional and alternative higher education, particularly the organization and administration of for-profit and virtual universities. He also is interested the various ways in which institutions of higher education choose to serve and support students.

Michelle Nilson is an Assistant Professor of Education in the Faculty of Education Simon Fraser University, in British Columbia, Canada. Dr. Nilson’s research program focuses on multi-level analysis of various finance and governance policies in education. Her work is informed by her involvement in various international collaborations, the most recent, a tri-national collaborative policy analysis of teacher education governance policies.
