Executive Committee
Chair
To provide overall coordination and leadership for CAHEP related activities and initiatives. With input from the Executive Team, to prepare meeting agendas and to lead Executive Team meetings as well as the CAHEP business meeting at the annual ASHE conference. To network individually with Executive Team members as may be required to assist them in their work. To represent the issues/needs of CAHEP with the ASHE Board and to communicate back with the Executive Team on the topics/issues of salience to our work.

Vice-Chair
To assist the Chair in the coordination work of CAHEP as may be needed and to serve as acting chair in the Chair’s absence. In addition, the Vice-Chair is responsible for assisting the Communications Chair with the execution of a communications plan and to initiate efforts to build constituent interest in CAHEP, including, but not limited to, attendance at our annual meeting events.

Secretary
To take minutes at CAHEP meetings at the annual conference as well as at virtual and face-to-face meetings of the Executive Team. To submit draft minutes of the CAHEP annual conference events to the Communications Chair who will then arrange that they get posted appropriately to the CAHEP website.

Finance Officer
To prepare a draft budget of CAHEP needs for submission to the CAHEP Executive Team by February 1. To submit a final budget proposal to the CAHEP Chair by April 1 to take to the ASHE Board. Finance Chair is also responsible for seeking event underwriting (e.g., sponsors of the food/beverages for the business meeting, new initiatives we might develop).

Program Advancement Chair(s)
To plan and propose to the CAHEP Executive Team a program of events for the annual meeting. Proposed plan to be submitted by February 1. To discuss our interest in being included in the ASHE Conference call for proposals with the ASHE Central Office and annual conference chair and to have requisite information they need to include our materials in (1) the call for proposals, (2) the draft program that is posted to the ASHE website, and (3) the final program.

Communications Chair
To develop a communications plan for Executive Team consideration. The plan would be inclusive of ways we can:

    • better interface with the ASHE membership renewal process for collecting information on current program coordinators/directors;
    • increase our visibility and communication with program coordinators/chairs;
    • integrate our session proposal process into the ASHE program proposal submission mechanisms;
    • integrate our program schedule into the draft and final conference programs so our activities are appropriately visible;
    • improve the CAHEP website;
    • identify other means of enhancing communication with program coordinators (e.g., program coordinators column in ASHE newsletter, if/when we might send direct mailings to program coordinators, etc.)

    To lead the effort in executing the communications plan and appropriately involving members of the Executive Team and/or the ASHE Central Office as may be needed/necessary.

Nominations Chair
Previous CAHEP Chair serves as chair of the Nominations Committee. Nominations Committee chair is responsible for convening a committee to develop a slate of officers for CAHEP body consideration and voting at the annual CAHEP business meeting at ASHE. Nominations Committee Chair is also responsible for ensuring that appropriate by-law revision language related to nomination processes is relayed to the Bylaws Committee Chair by March 1.

Ad Hoc Committees
