Mentor Program

ASHE/Lumina Fellows will be assigned an ASHE/Lumina Fellowship mentor during the year-long fellowship. The Advising Committee for the ASHE/Lumina Fellows Program will use names suggested by applicants as potential mentors, as well as consultation with the Fellow and other possible mentors, to arrange mentorship by an ASHE member with expertise related to the dissertation topics. The mentor’s role is not to provide dissertation guidance, but to facilitate professional and scholarly development of the Fellow. Mentors will be invited to participate in the Pre-Conference Seminar, Online Community of Scholars, and Summer Colloquium, with travel expenses up to $750 for the Pre-Conference/ASHE Annual Meeting and additional expenses for the Summer Colloquium covered by the Fellowship program.
