General Conference Section: Faculty

Proposals for this section address a wide range of issues related to the socialization, preparation, employment, productivity, work, and careers of postsecondary faculty. Research on faculty motivation, work and life roles, the faculty labor market, tenure and promotion, preparing future faculty, growth and development, performance evaluation, and disciplinary and professional cultures is relevant to this section. Proposals may also focus on specific appointment types (e.g., part-time, non-tenure track), institutional settings (e.g., community colleges, for-profit institutions), or intersectional identities and experiences (e.g., job satisfaction among faculty of color).
