Annual Report
To our ASHE Members:
We are writing today to share ASHE's 2023 Annual Report. As part of our Strategic Plan, one of our goals as an association is to "annually report to the membership on the financial health, activities, and impact of the Association." In addition to the information we annually share during the Community Meeting, we will now provide an annual report of the association's activities.
We hope that you will take time to read this report to learn more about all that ASHE's nearly 250 Leadership Volunteers and Staff accomplished in 2023. A few highlights include:
- An expansion of the ASHE Staff Team to include a Communications Coordinator and Membership Coordinator
- A successful annual conference with nearly 1,400 attendees and over 500 presentations
- 16 Professional Development events with more than 500 attendees
- Strategic Workgroups focusing on key association priorities: Climate Justice, Entities, Global Dimensions, Higher Education Scholarship, Organizational Structure, and Land Tax
- Continuation of the ASHE Presidential Podcast and the ACPA-ASHE Presidential Symposium
- Publication of four issues of the Review of Higher Education along with article highlights through the John Hopkins University Press Podcast series
- Maintenance of a financially sustainable budget while providing affordable membership and event registration fees (as a note: ASHE's financial information is publicly available through GuideStar)
As you'll learn, ASHE continues to evolve to more than just a conference. And we'll continue our work to be a relevant, valuable, and sustainable organization aligned with our Strategic Plan.
