EMR Assistant Professor, Tenure Track
Western Michigan University seeks to hire a tenure-track assistant/associate professor in the area of Qualitative/Mixed Methods. The position is in the Educational Leadership, Research, and Technology Department and will teach in the Evaluation, Measurement, and Research program.

Evaluation, Measurement, and Research (EMR):

The Assistant/Associate Professor is a board-appointed, tenure-track position and begins August 2022, with a possibility of Summer I/Summer II teaching assignments for additional salary. Applicants should possess an earned doctorate in educational research or a closely related discipline, with a strong focus on qualitative and mixed methods research. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with diverse populations, demonstrated ability to teach graduate courses primarily in qualitative and mixed methods, as well as courses specific to their research and scholarship interests, and have teaching experience using online formats.

Other responsibilities include:

 
  • advising students;
  • maintaining an active research agenda; and
  • participating in a range of service activities.

Major Responsibilities:
 
  • Teach graduate qualitative and mixed methods research courses (in-person, online, and hyflex)
  • Advise and mentor graduate students (certificate, master’s and doctoral)
  • Maintain a rigorous active research agenda
  • Participate in a range of service and professional activities

Requirements Minimum Qualifications:
