Assistant Teaching Professor
The School of Education at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) invites applicants for a full-time, non-tenure track, Assistant Teaching Professor position beginning August 2022. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, diverse higher education administration program.
The Higher Education Administration graduate program faculty currently provide training with concentration in student affairs and higher education administration. The School is especially interested in candidates whose training backgrounds include bridging research and practice. The program's faculty have established records of scholarship in the areas of student affairs, residence life, and higher education. The program aims to recruit applicants who will provide impactful instruction, and who will emphasize training graduate students to become productive and thoughtful practitioners.
The School of Education’s Higher Education Administration programs include a Master of Education degree, a Doctor of Education degree, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree. Program delivery includes face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats. Qualified applicants will be prepared to contribute to the teaching mission of the School of Education at the graduate level.
The School of Education has approximately 1,200 students across six different program areas.
