Clinical Assistant Professor & Program Co-coordinator of Higher & Postsecondary Education
The Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College invites applications for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor and Program Co-coordinator to teach courses and support the administration of the Master of Education in Higher and Postsecondary Education (HED) at Arizona State University.

The successful candidate will have an established record of teaching, supervising and mentoring graduate students in the field of higher and postsecondary education. Candidates should also have a record of administrative leadership and/or experience collaborating with faculty and staff within college or university institutions. The Clinical Assistant Professor & Program Co-coordinator’s major responsibilities will include: (1) teaching in the Higher & Postsecondary Education program; (2) advising and mentoring graduate students; (3) serving as the primary liaison between HED faculty and master’s program professional advisors, to ensure equity and quality of students’ experiences; (4) collaborating on the growth of the Higher & Postsecondary Education program; and (5) providing service to the program, institution, profession, and community.

Essential Functions
  • Teach 3 master's courses per semester in the Higher & Postsecondary Education program
  • Supervise master’s level practicum students in postsecondary settings
  • Advise and mentor master's students, including Higher Education Student Association
  • Engage in community outreach and connect higher education professionals to the College
  • Serve as the primary liaison between HED faculty and master’s program professional advisors, to ensure equity and quality of students’ experiences
  • Serve as the primary HED faculty liaison to College recruiting and admissions professionals and represent the master’s program to prospective students

Requirements Required Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Higher Education, or doctoral degree in related field with a major/specialization in Higher Education or Student Affairs
  • Evidence of successful instructional experience at the postsecondary level
  • Three or more years providing academic and career advisement to graduate students and professionals
Desired Qualifications
  • Three or more years of successful instructional experience at the graduate level
  • Experience teaching and/or designing online and/or hybrid classes
  • Experience teaching courses in Higher & Postsecondary Education
  • Experience supervising higher education graduate students in a practicum setting
  • Experience collaborating with and offering faculty support in relation to teaching and mentoring graduate students.
  • Research and/or practice-based expertise in one or more of the following areas: higher education policy; Latinx issues in higher education; community colleges; equity, diversity, and inclusion; research design (quantitative and/or qualitative methods); program assessment and/or evaluation.
