Open Rank Tenure/Tenure-Track Faculty - COEHD Education Leadership
The Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies (ELPS) in the College of Education and Human Development (COEHD) at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) invites nominations and applications for an open rank professor (tenured/tenure track) faculty position to begin in the Fall of 2023 in Higher Education Leadership. We are looking for faculty members with expertise or scholarly emphasis in one or more of the following areas: community college leadership; student affairs; Queer/LGBTQ+/Jotería; undocumented and/or immigrant students; traditionally marginalized and underserved students; critical methods; or critical theories. Responsibilities for the position include teaching on two campuses, typically in the evening and possibly including hybrid and online formats; growing the community college program; conducting and publishing scholarly research; participating in efforts designed to seek external funding support for scholarly research; recruitment; program development; advising students and guiding their doctoral research; serving on and/or chairing doctoral dissertation committees; and providing service to departmental, college, university, community, and professional constituencies.

Requirements Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated advocacy for equity in education,
  • An articulated research agenda,
  • Professional experience advancing student learning, student development and leadership, student success, or diversity and inclusion, etc. in diverse higher education settings;
  • Experience supervising dissertations and working collaboratively with students on research; and
  • Participating in strategic program development and leadership experience in departmental committees."
