The Higher Education Program at the University of North Texas (UNT) seeks an associate or full professor, with a demonstrated record of strength in teaching, doctoral advising, scholarship, and service to support the Program’s scholarly, professional, and academic initiatives. The successful candidate will serve a nine-month, tenure-track appointment beginning with the Fall semester of 2023. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Part-time summer teaching is contingent on student demand and funding. An offer of employment for this position will be made dependent upon available funding.

The candidate must hold a doctorate in the field of Higher Education or a closely related field. A record of effective research, publication, and external funding is expected. Experienced candidates are expected to have an established research agenda, a demonstrated record of high-impact scholarly publications in the field of higher education, and experience in teaching in face to face, interactive video and online modalities, and experience in doctoral advising. Candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice as evidenced by their teaching, research, and service to the profession. A research record concerning Latinx, Black/African American, and other minoritized communities is preferred. The ideal candidate is a scholar with expertise in community colleges, student success and access, particularly for minoritized students. Potential for higher education program leadership is preferred.
