Assistant Research Professor of STEM Education
This is a 100% research position and does not include teaching or service obligations. The person in this role is expected to obtain external funding through grants and contracts for support of their research programs. The position is fully funded for the first two years, and the person in this role is expected to be self-funded by their third year in the position. The successful scholar’s research program can be broadly conceived within STEM education with priority to candidates who center equity and social justice in their inquiry. Responsibilities include grant writing and management, production of high-impact publications, and collaboration with CSTL faculty and staff. Candidates successful in this position can earn promotion to the associate and full professor levels, based on research productivity. We are seeking a long-term colleague who will contribute to the Center’s research impact and national presence. Specific research areas within STEM education and methodologies are intentionally open.

Expected salary range is $75,000 to $77,000 for a nine-month salary (commensurate with experience and qualifications).

Requirements Minimum qualifications include:
1). An earned doctoral degree in science education, mathematics education, engineering education, higher education, or a closely related field (degree conferred by 08/15/2023).
2). Research experience that centers STEM education (broadly conceived).
3). Previous experience supporting grant-funded projects
