UCLA Momentum: Accelerating Equity in Computing Technology, directed by Dr. Linda Sax, seeks a 100% Postdoctoral Scholar to support Momentum’s research-based work to accelerate equity in computing and technology through the generation of new knowledge about what works (and what does not) in diversifying the tech workforce, with a special focus on educational pathways. Specifically, the postdoctoral scholar will work on a federally-funded, multi-institutional, longitudinal survey project that focuses on college students who take computing courses in their first or second year of college and follows them over time into computing majors and minors and ultimately computing careers. The goal of this research is to generate knowledge about best practices to recruit and retain women, students of color, and students from other minoritized groups into computing fields.
Review of applications will begin immediately and continue through September 5, 2020. Remote work is possible. Questions may be directed to Momentum Associate Director Dr. Kate Lehman at email@example.com.
