Institutional Research Advancement Analyst
Under the supervision of the Director of Institutional Research, the Institutional Research Advancement Analyst is responsible for supporting the data and informational needs of the institutional advancement division. In this capacity, the analyst will perform data analysis, coordinate and standardize reporting, and communicate information. In addition, this work will add to existing institutional data collections/reporting, supplement institutional effectiveness efforts, and be shared with appropriate campus constituencies.

Responsibilities include:
  • Conduct a range of data analysis (descriptive, analytic, and predictive) on Institutional Advancement data to better understand college constituents, improve donor/alumni outreach, and evaluate alumni outcomes.
  • Develop institutional reports, particularly as related to fundraising performance, alumni engagement, and campaign progress.
  • Report and share information that relates to institutional effectiveness outcomes.
  • Design and create processes for using data analytic tools, reports, visualizations, and dashboards for communicating information on an ongoing basis.
  • Introduce innovative technology strategies, creative solutions, objective information, and effective and efficient services to help achieve divisional and institutional goals.
  • Collaborate with members of the Advancement division and other relevant offices to understand data opportunities and needs.
  • Communicate information within the Advancement division and for college-wide committees or task forces.

Bachelor's degree required in math, computer science, physical or social sciences field of study or a related field.
Master's Degree preferred in computing science, math, data science, or related social sciences field.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Proficiency with various computer applications and software, including database management, statistical software, spreadsheets, survey software, web-based software, data visualization tools, and query reporting tools.
  • Strong research and data analysis skills.
  • Experience with data mining, machine learning, statistical, and predictive modeling.
  • Attention to detail, work confidentially with sensitive data, manage multiple projects with deadlines, communicate effectively in oral and written form.
  • Work both independently and collaboratively.
