Associate Director - Office of Faculty Development, Diversity and Engagement
This is a great position for a recent doctoral or master’s degree graduate interested in working in the field of diversity, equity and engagement in a higher education setting. This position will build community among faculty members in social identity and/or interest-based groups, and will manage the day-to-day function of the IDEAL Provostial Fellows program, the Faculty Women’s Forum and programs for women in STEM, as well as others.

Position Overview
 
  • Directs the Faculty Engagement function of the Office of Faculty Development, Diversity and Engagement (OFDDE).
  • Manages the Gabilan Fellows program, the Faculty Women’s Forum, and faculty development programming for women in STEM, as well as others interested in equity in STEM topics.
  • Manages the day-to-day function of the IDEAL Provostial Fellows program, including administration, outreach, recruitment, IDEAL Fellows Advisory Council, the Fellows selection process, onboarding, annual conference and networking and development programming.
  • Also responsible for developing, updating and implementing programs to enhance mentoring for early career faculty members.

Requirements
Required:

Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.

Preferred:

Ph.D. or an Ed.D. strongly preferred, or combination of an M.Ed. and equivalent minimum experience.
