Visiting Assistant Professor in Higher Education
The Higher Education program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas is currently accepting applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor in Higher Education.

Position Details
  • Situated in the College of Education
  • Full-time faculty; 4:4 teaching load with possible service reassignment
  • 2-year contract with yearly renewal
  • Position close date – open until filled
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Teach and mentor students across degree programs.
  2. Contribute to the mission of the university, program, and profession through service activities.
  3. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree from an accredited college or university in Higher Education (or related area) by August 2021.
  • Ability to teach graduate level courses in higher education and student affairs.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion practices in higher education;
  • Research areas include historically excluded and marginalized populations;
  • Experience mentoring and advising graduate students;
  • Interest and ability to teach courses such as higher education law, student development, leadership development, understanding diversity in higher education, and guided capstone;
  • 2 or more years of professional experience working in student affairs and/or higher education administration.
