Requirements Required:
  • Master's degree in a related field of study.
  • A minimum of five years of professional, in-depth experience in, and a detailed understanding of, complex and intersectional issues related to diversity, equity, inclusion and justice as they relate to the student experience and the workplace.
  • Experience developing and facilitating diversity, equity, inclusion and justice-related operating plans within higher education or related context.
  • Experience leading and managing staff and student employees.
  • Knowledge and service with national organizations supporting diversity, equity, inclusion and justice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with a variety of audiences.
  • Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

  • Experience counseling/mentoring/advising graduate students.
  • Experience with fundraising, supporting fundraising efforts or working with donors to raise funding for student fellowships and scholarships.
  • The person in this position should possess skills to present in front of large audiences and an ability to effectively lead large committees with people in high-level positions in addition to small focus groups, both of which often include faculty.
