Full-Time Lecturer, Center for Evaluation and Educational Effectiveness
California State University, Long Beach is hiring for a full-time lecturer faculty position in the Center for Evaluation and Educational Effectiveness (CEEE). Responsibilities include leading and conducting program evaluations of educational programs largely focused on serving first-generation and low-income students in higher education. There may also be opportunities to teach courses in the Educational Leadership doctoral (Ed.D.) and master’s degree programs and/or courses in research methods.

CEEE works in collaboration with our partners to promote vibrant educational programs and services to advance social justice locally, regionally, and nationally. It is committed to ensuring equity, access, and achievement for all, facilitating a learning environment that builds organizational capacity, and engaging in shared problem-solving across educational and community sectors.

  • Ph.D. or Ed.D. in educational leadership, higher education/student affairs, educational program evaluation, or a related discipline. Degree at time of application or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2021.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting quantitative and/or qualitative research in educational settings
  • Demonstrated experience with quantitative (e.g., Stata, SAS, or SPSS) and/or qualitative data analysis software packages (e.g., NVivo, Dedoose, Atlas.Ti)
  • Demonstrated potential for effective teaching at the college level
  • Ability to take initiative, problem-solve, and manage time independently to achieve project and center outcomes
  • Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population
