Associate Director for Diversity Recruitment & Outreach
Reporting to the Director of Admissions, Recruitment & Outreach, this role will serve as the primary leader regarding all facets of diversity recruitment in support of UC’s Strategic Sizing enrollment goals for undergraduate students. The Associate Director will directly supervise two (2) program managers and two (2) graduate assistants as well as indirectly supervise thirty to thirty-five (30-35) student workers.

Essential Job Duties
  • Drive Strategy: Lead development, implementation, and coordination efforts to increase applications and yield from diverse populations (racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, geographic, first-generation, socioeconomic, rural, veteran, military students, etc.). In collaboration with the Director of Admissions, Recruitment & Outreach, provide oversight of annual goals, strategy, and activities.
  • Provide Market Research: Identify national and local data to drive decision making in coordinating partnerships with school districts, community-based organizations, and scholarship organizations that directly serve strategic populations.
  • Develop and Manage Partnerships: Develop relationship with Affinity Groups to aid in diversity recruitment and enrollment growth. Collaborate with partners on campus and community-based organizations in outreach activities that build and strengthen their level of confidence in the institution and empower them to promote the University of Cincinnati as an opportunity for prospective students.
  • Programming: Plan and implement strategic recruitment and outreach programs that enroll academically qualified and diverse undergraduate student populations.
  • Strategic Planning: Establishes short-term year-over-year recruitment plans and long-term operational objectives, including managing project timelines/deliverables and developing resource plans for multi-project/multiphase admissions and recruitment initiatives.
  • Communicate: Influence communications strategies for diverse populations throughout the enrollment funnel.
  • Lead: Direct and provide leadership for the Cincinnati Public School (CPS) initiatives within college access. Oversee CPS Ambassador Program and serve as liaison to CPS Strong efforts that align with the University's NEXT LIVES HERE initiative of being a leading urban-serving university.
  • Supervision: Hire, train, mentor, manage, lead, and provide professional development for staff members. Led and manage with a commitment to developing leaders and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Requirements Required Education

  • Previous supervisory experience.

Additional Qualifications Considered
  • Master’s Degree.
  • Experience with Slate or other CRM software.
  • Experience in event planning, enrollment management, student affairs administration, or higher education marketing is ideal.
  • Experience in multicultural recruitment, working with community-based organizations, or project management is preferred.
