Professional Bio

Jaden Mikoulinskii is a doctoral student at the University of Georgia’s Louise McBee Institute of Higher Education. Her research explores the intersection of institutional economics and policy, focusing on the impact of public policy on first-generation students' college choices, institutional finance, operational viability, and governmental appropriations. Jaden is a Research Assistant with the University System of Georgia’s Division of Research and Policy Analysis and a Graduate Research Intern on the Higher Education team at The Century Foundation. Jaden founded Lynnwood Education Collaborative, an organization dedicated to expanding college access for first-generation, rural, and low-income students through mentorship on institutional fit, cost, and return on investment.
Jaden earned an M.A. in Higher Education Policy from the University of Maryland-College Park and a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She is a proud alumna of the McNair Scholars Program, TRIO Student Support Services, and the Big Ten Academic Alliance SROP. She has held research and policy roles with the Institute for Higher Education Policy, the Maryland Higher Education Commission, the White House Office of Management and Budget, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Postsecondary Education, the Brookings Institution, and the Kamala Harris for President campaign.
