Professional Bio
Jordan Mitchell is a Ph.D. student at the Louise McBee Institute of Higher Education and a managing editor for the Journal of Higher Education Outreach and Engagement (JHEOE). She earned her B.S. in communication and leadership with a minor in educational psychology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2023, and she earned her M.Ed. in higher education from Southern Methodist University in 2025. Her research interests center on student-athlete experiences in higher education, particularly transfer student-athlete major selection, academic clustering and tracking, and athletic academic advising strategies. She also explores student development theory, high-impact practices, and first-year student wellbeing.
