Professional Bio
Marisa Lally is an Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership at Georgia Southern University. Her research interests include nationalism and national identity in education, especially in the context of the United States, internationalization of higher education from postcolonial and critical perspectives, and sociohistorical and discourse analysis methods. Before joining the College of Education, she served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow for the NSF-funded Advancing Collaboration for Equity in Marine and Climate Science (ACE-MCS) project at George Mason University. She earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education from Boston College, where she was a research assistant for the Center for International Higher Education and an adjunct instructor for the Boston College Prison Education Program.
