Professional Bio
Nia D. Hall is a doctoral student in the Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education and serves as a research associate in the Campus Abolition Research Lab at the University of Michigan. Her research interests broadly examine issues of race, racism, and anti-Blackness in higher education with an emphasis on the history and evolution of campus policing, abolitionist praxis in higher education, and campus resistance movements. Nia is currently Vice President of the Graduate Employees Organization 3550, one of the first labor unions for graduate workers in the United States.
