Professional Bio

I am an assistant professor for Gwynedd Mercy University’s Doctorate in Education program, Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Concentration. I held management roles and taught in higher education since 2002, serving as Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs for the School of Continuing and Professional Studies at Elizabethtown College and as Dean of General Education at the Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences. I also worked in organizational development and training for a healthcare system, in community development and public administration to assist children with special healthcare needs, and in community health education.
I received an EdD in educational leadership and higher education administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. I earned master of education degrees in health education from the Pennsylvania State University and in instructional design from Western Governors University, and a bachelor of arts in sociology from Wittenberg University. I also hold leadership certification in adult/accelerated programs from the Council for Accelerated Programs, a certificate of mastery in prior learning assessment from the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning, and a certificate in community college leadership from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
