Presenter Agreement

Thank you for being part of an ASHE Event. We appreciate your service to the association and the field.

To help ensure a meaningful experience for presenters and attendees, here are a few items we want to share with you:

  1. The ASHE Board of Directors has developed the Events Code of Conduct and Ethics Policies to ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment. All presenters must uphold these policies throughout their service. This includes not engaging in any type of promotional marketing or selling of any product or service and not speaking in a negative, derogatory, hostile, aggressive, or otherwise-inappropriate or unlawful manner to or about any other person, entity, product, or service.

  2. ASHE Leadership Volunteers and the ASHE Staff will work with you to ensure we meet due dates. Please help us by providing information to us by the due date. This helps us to ensure we are able to share event details with the membership and set the event up for success.

  3. Things happen. If an emergency should prevent you from meeting your obligations as a presenter, please let the event lead and ASHE Staff know as soon as possible. Additionally, ASHE in its sole discretion may cancel the Event, and therefore, your session will also be canceled.

  4. Most events are not recorded. But if they are, presenters grant to ASHE a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, unlimited use, non-exclusive license and release to record, use, reproduce, and distribute your Event presentation (including my name and likeness). I understand that this license does not change the fact that I retain copyright ownership of my presentation and ancillary materials and does not prohibit me from using my presentation and ancillary materials in any way or from allowing others to use it/them unless the presentation is under contract with ASHE or considered work for hire.

  5. Please ensure that your presentation not violate any proprietary or personal rights of others (including any copyright or privacy rights), is factually accurate, and contains nothing defamatory or otherwise unlawful. Your presentation should be your own original work, you should have the authority to enter into this Presenter Agreement, and you are the sole copyright holder or have obtained all necessary permissions or licenses from any persons or organizations whose material is included or used in your presentation. Please understand that ASHE reserves the right to review all presentations and associated permissions and can remove third-party intellectual property if adequate licenses and permissions were not obtained.

  6. We will promote the event to our membership and beyond. As such, we will use your name, likeness, photograph, and biographical data in connection with the use, promotion, and distribution of the program.

  7. Upon agreeing to be part of this event, Presenters understand and agree to the above conditions as listed.
