Organization Overview
The Concentration in Higher Education Leadership prepares students for careers in college and university settings, education adjacent organizations, and higher education research. In this program, students will::
Learn tools for critical analysis of and constructive solutions to relevant needs and issues facing higher education leaders.
Develop foundational and functional competencies, including leadership, resource management, collaboration with internal and external partners, and strategic planning.
Work closely with faculty and staff, using our campus as our "living laboratory," including conducting research; engaging in internships, practicums, campus initiatives and leadership opportunities; conference participation and professional development; and community service projects.
A graduate of this program is prepared to work in higher education areas such as admissions, academic advising and affairs, student life and activities, athletics, and various program management roles.
