Professional Bio
Brittany "Brit" M. Williams, Ph.D., is a speaker, writer, facilitator, and educator from Southwest Atlanta and a proud product of Atlanta Public Schools. Her research broadly examines three key areas: (1) individual and organizational effectiveness; (2) public health and wellbeing; and (3) issues of diversity, equity, inclusion, & belonging. She also frequently presents and consults on citational (in)equality issues as part of her legacy work on #CiteASista. Her research and scholarship have been funded by the National Academy of Education (NAEd)/ Spencer Postdoctoral Fellowship, the Spencer Foundation, NSF, and NIH. Moreover, she has been featured in and by Nature, National Public Radio, the National Minority Aids Council, Essence, and in a host of academic journals. Brit is currently an Associate Professor of Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration and Public Health Sciences at the University of Vermont.
