Professional Bio
Emily T. Creamer, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Studies in the Higher Education Program at the University of Toledo. Her research focuses on broad-access institutions, community colleges, parenting students, the impact of college, and issues of gender and equity in higher education. She is particularly interested in how institutional environments, policies, and practices shape students’ experiences, belonging, and success. Prior to joining the University of Toledo, Emily served as Research Director of the College Impact Laboratory at The Ohio State University, where she led multi-institutional, mixed-methods research projects and grant-funded initiatives as well as an instructor in OSU's Department of Educational Studies. She brings two decades of experience in higher education spanning research, teaching, counseling, advising, and student affairs. Emily earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Bowling Green State University and holds master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Higher Education Administration from the University of Toledo.
