Timothy Awojobi, USAF-Retired, MPA – Short Biography
Timothy Awojobi is a United States Air Force veteran, nonprofit executive, and public service leader dedicated to advancing veteran welfare, mental health equity, and community empowerment. Born in Newark, New Jersey, and raised in Union, New Jersey, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Public Relations (2015) and a Master’s degree in Public Administration (2019), both from Kean University.
Mr. Awojobi served honorably in the United States Air Force from February 2016 to February 2022, supporting humanitarian missions including Operation Allies Refuge and Operation Allies Welcome. His service was recognized with multiple commendations, including the Air Force Commendation Medal and the Air Force Achievement Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster.
Since April 2022, he has served as Chair of the Military and Veterans Caucus for the New Jersey Young Democrats and currently serves as Vice President of External Relations for the New Jersey State Veterans Chamber of Commerce. In July 2023, he founded TTA Empire Inc., a veteran- and minority-owned nonprofit focused on veteran outreach, education, housing, and mental health initiatives. In recognition of his service, the Township of North Brunswick dedicated “Awojobi Way” in April 2024.
Mr. Awojobi is currently pursuing a PhD doctoral degree at Seton Hall University, where his research focuses on mental health support for veterans in higher education. He remains committed to service-driven leadership and community impact.
