A Message from the ASHE Graduate Student Network
A new academic year is underway, fall is finally making its appearance, and the excitement is building as we count down to ASHE 2026! We hope this semester is off to a wonderful start and that you're finding your rhythm as you settle into new courses, research projects, professional opportunities, and everything else that comes with graduate student life.
October brings a renewed sense of possibility, but we also recognize that the fall semester can move quickly. As your calendars fill with deadlines, responsibilities, and commitments, we encourage you to make room for the things that energize you. Celebrate your progress, lean into your community, and remember that some of the most meaningful parts of this journey happen through the relationships we build along the way.
Speaking of community, ASHE 2026 is right around the corner! We are especially excited about the opportunities ahead to reconnect with familiar faces, welcome new members, share our scholarship, and celebrate the incredible work happening across our graduate student community. Your GSN leadership team has been busy preparing for the months ahead, and we look forward to sharing opportunities to connect, engage, and make the most of this conference season.

Building on the momentum of the past year, our team is committed to strengthening our graduate student community, creating meaningful opportunities for connection and professional development, and ensuring graduate student voices remain at the forefront of ASHE.

We have an exciting year ahead, and we can't wait to share what we've been working on! Stay tuned as we introduce each member of our leadership team, share a few fun facts, and highlight the people helping bring our GSN community together. The Countdown to ASHE 2026 Is On!
San Juan, here we come! We're counting down the days until ASHE 2026, and we can't wait to reconnect with our graduate student community in Puerto Rico! The annual conference is an incredible opportunity to share scholarship, exchange ideas, build meaningful relationships, and celebrate the work happening across our field. We're especially excited about the opportunities to bring graduate students together throughout the conference!

Pages & Peers offers casual writing sessions designed to support graduate student writing habits while creating opportunities to connect with peers. Participants can choose their preferred level of accountability and socialization while working on manuscripts, dissertations, coursework, proposals, or other writing projects. Calling All Qualitative Researchers
Looking to connect with fellow graduate students navigating the world of qualitative research? Join the AERA Qualitative Research SIG Graduate Student Council for its Fall Book Club as participants read and reflect on Graduate Students Becoming Qualitative Researchers: An Ethnographic Study.
Through three engaging sessions, you'll have the opportunity to exchange ideas, reflect on your development as a qualitative researcher, and build community with fellow graduate students.
