Danielle K. Molina

Bringing together experience in student affairs administration/academic support services and rigorous training in both college student personnel and higher education organizational studies, I am a scholar who challenges institutionalized dichotomies between the ideas of practice and theory, practitioner and scholar, student services and higher education. My research explores the relationship between organizational protocols, team decision making, and collective action in contexts of fast-paced and uncertain change. Of particular interest are topics such as student affairs emergency response, work roles and routines in student affairs, and higher education administration/management. Guiding my research agenda is an overriding interest in understanding the evolving structure of higher education administration and the vital role that Student Affairs divisions play in contemporary college and university organization.
