Marianna Canales is a doctoral student in Higher Education at Texas Tech University and a dedicated student affairs professional currently serving as a Residence Director at Texas State University. With a strong background in housing and residential life, she brings extensive experience in student support, staff supervision, and leadership development.
Marianna has held multiple leadership roles within professional organizations, including serving on the Professional Development Committee for SWACUHO and the Marketing & Membership Committee for TACUSPA. She is a 2024 recipient of the TACUSPA Thomas Moorman Fellowship and has presented at state and regional conferences on topics such as professional identity development, conflict styles, and inclusive student support strategies.
