Professional Bio

I am Keanna Cash, an accomplished equity and justice practitioner with over 10 years of experience, distinguished by commendable performance and proven results. Over the years, I have worked for leading organizations in the higher education industry, including e-learning providers, fostering environments that support students, faculty, and staff of all identities and backgrounds.

My research interests are at the intersection of Black Feminist Thought and AI policy within Higher Education. Specifically, I examine Higher Education institutions' AI policies and practices for protection against algorithmic bias and other side effects of uncritical adoption using Black Feminist Thought as a lens for critical policy analysis.

Background experience includes: building an equitable society by disrupting institutionalized oppression and increasing access to academic and career opportunities for minoritized people; overseeing, planning, developing, and facilitating the integration of key strategic initiatives to support workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI); leading cross-functionally to execute projects and programs from inception to completion, deftly translating strategy into actionable initiatives.

I take pride in equipping people for success and instilling ethical leadership traits, while striving to create and maintain supportive, welcoming work environments where all people can thrive. My practical experience is complemented by a Master of Education (Higher Education Management), Bachelor of Arts (Japanese, Linguistics), Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Certificate, Global Competence Certificate, and Administrative Professional Certificate.
