Professional Bio

Vigor W. H. Lam (he/him) is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in Higher Education Leadership at Colorado State University. He holds an M.Ed. in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs from USC (2015) and a B.S. in Landscape Architecture from The Ohio State University (2012).He works full-time at Jacobs as a construction manager, overseeing complex campus research, academic, and healthcare projects. Previously, he was a consultant at City College of San Francisco, managing the implementation of a multi-year facilities master plan, including the $128M Student Success Center.

A former student affairs practitioner, he has experience in multicultural affairs, academic affairs, admissions, campus life, and residential life. Vigor has volunteered for and presented at various student and professional conferences, including serving on the ASHE Board of Directors as a Graduate Student Representative. His research focuses on student success and belonging, racial and spatial justice, and decolonization in the built environment on college campuses.
